Has anyone ever used an animal(dog or cat) in order to try to attract men or women?

When I was in college my english setter Max made it easier for people to come up and talk with me and I met some really great guys that way. I didn’t intentionally use him, several of my professors were ok with him coming to class occasionally too. now that I have 6 dogs it would probably not be an asset.
